Prepare the Ingredients
Wash and peel (you can leave the skin if you want), cut into smaller chunks for an easier blending.
Make The Beetroot Juice With A Blender
Place all ingredients in the blender (I use my Ninja blender) with some water (just enough to help blend -about 3/4 - 1 cup), squeeze the lemon juice, cover and start your blender.
Place the nut milk bag on the top of a container and pour the juice through it. Squeeze with your hands as much as you can until you get all the juice out. Enjoy immediately, the longer the beet juice sits the faster it looses the nutrients.
How To Make Beet Juice With A Juicer
Start by washing and peeling your beets and other ingredients, if necessary.Next, cut them into chunks that will fit comfortably inside your juicer. Personally I'm using a cheap masticating juicer for optical juice extraction.
Once your ingredients are ready, feed them through the juicer one at a time, starting with the thicker pieces first to help push out the juice. You can discard the pulp or save it to add to other recipes, such as beet crackers.
Finally, pour your fresh beet juice blend into a clean glass or bottle and enjoy!
Notes
The recipe makes about 20 oz (600ml) of beetroot juice (actually it's a blend of juice and water). If you plan to drink the juice later, store it in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator and consume within one day not later. What's the best time to drinks beet juice: first thing in the morning 1.5 hours before breakfast or around 5pm. According to body's natural rhythm that's the time when the blood delivers useable nutrients to all tissues.
