Immune Booster Juice With Carrot Orange Ginger (Juicer And Blender)
This immune booster juice is made with carrot orange and ginger and makes the perfect immunity booster drink for adults and kids. Healthy and refreshing, but also tasty, easy to make and with a vibrant color! It’s the best immunity juice recipe that you can make by either using a juicer or a blender. This carrot orange ginger juice is not only great for boosting immunity, but it's also excellent for skin, eyesight, and cardiovascular health.
Prepare the carrots and oranges: scrub/clean the carrots well. Leave them unpeeled if you’re using organic carrots – the skin contains concentrated vitamin C and niacin. You can peel them if you’re using conventional carrots – the concentration of pesticides is higher in the peel. Also peel the oranges and the ginger.
Chop the ingredients to a size that fits your juicer and begin juicing according to the user’s manual. Best if you use a masticating juicer, as it's low heat and provides maximum juice extraction.
Enjoy the fresh homemade juice within 30 minutes. If you can’t consume it right away, store in a glass airtight bottle in the refrigerator up to 36-48 hours.
Instructions For Blender
Prepare your carrots, oranges and ginger (wash and peel, cut into smaller chunks, about 1.5 inch);
Mix: place in a blender and add water (pour gradually just enough to help blending) and blend on high for 30 seconds until smooth.
Strain through a mesh bag / nut milk bag and squeeze as much juice with your hands in a clean container. Don’t use a regular metal strainer you’re going to waste a lot of juice.
Discard the pulp, or use it in baking goods. Serve the fresh juice right away! Alternatively you could leave it as it is, and enjoy it as smoothie (if you don’t mind the abundance of fiber).
Notes
How To Enhance The Vitamin Absorption Of This Juice
Since carotenoids are sensitive to temperatures and are prone to degradation, thermal treatment (such as use of a centrifugal juicer) often results in substantial loss of carotenoids. For best results use a cold press masticating juicer.Moreover you can increase the vitamin absorption by drinking this orange carrot ginger juice with a little fat (vitamin A and C are fat soluble). Fats you can consume with (or after) are: oils, avocado, egg, nuts (butter or milk), fish oil capsules etc.
Juice Storing
Store it in a glass airtight bottle in the fridge for up to two days. But, it’s best enjoyed right away, because vitamin ascorbic acid tends to degrade quickly.
